Whew, it was a long one with a lot of roadblocks, but we made it! Hanny now has a military ID, which should make our next visit to the base much easier. I spent 2 hours in the van in a parking lot in a downpour of rain while Hanny had a dep call with all the other recruits from Utah who are preparing to leave for basic training. We were a couple of minutes late, didn't really know where we were going, but made it there after they just waved us in at the gate security checkpoint.
There's a lot more to this story, but it makes me tired to think of writing it...sorry
