Sorry it's taken me so incredibly long to post these, but I've kind of been a basketcase these last three weeks. So, here's Hanny's letter dated July 3rd:
"Hi Tauraa family,
I only have a few minutes to write but I'll be fast. I found the kingdom of hell on earth: it is in Lackland AFB. I am nothing. I've got the TI (instructor) in my face, yelling @ me like crazy even to the point of having spit on my face because of his loud voice. Yuckee! Oh well, it's all good.
It is definitely hot, hot, hot. I'm sweating all the time with my uniform almost all the time, doing marching, saluting, getting yelled at.
I was so glad to see the missionary couple, it was so peaceful to be with them.
I've got to go
love you, I miss you
